This is Deanna.
She joined us on our Galápagos adventure not knowing a single person. No built-in friend, no safety net. Just her, a suitcase, and a yes to something bigger than her comfort zone.
And while we were there… it happened to be her birthday.
Now here’s where it gets really good.
Our guide, Wilson, found out it was her birthday and surprised her with a cake at dinner that night. Not just any cake—like, a full-on thoughtful, “we see you and we’re celebrating you” kind of moment.
But what stayed with me wasn’t just the cake.

A group of women, who had all been complete strangers just days before, gathered around her, laughing, cheering, celebrating her like they’d known her forever.

Yes, the Galápagos was stunning.
Yes, we snorkeled with sea turtles, saw sea lions up close, and experienced some of the most unreal landscapes on the planet.
But the real magic?
It was the connection.
It was the way people showed up for each other.
It was the conversations that went deeper than small talk.
It was the feeling of walking into a group of strangers… and realizing, these are my people.
