And we’re kicking things off with a little history lesson…The very first Pride parade took place on June 28, 1970, to mark the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The Stonewall Inn, a safe haven for many queer and trans folks in NYC, was raided by police in the early hours of June 28, 1969. But instead of shrinking back, our community fought back.
